Williamson will oversee trust and private client services for AmSouth operations in Mississippi.He has 24 years of experience with Deposit Guaranty and AmSouth, serving as executive vice president and regional executive for commercial and private banking with Deposit Guaranty before leaving in October 1999.

Williamson served as chairman and CEO of State Bank & Trust Co. of Brookhaven until November 2000, when he returned to AmSouth in trust sales.

A regional bank holding company, AmSouth has 88 offices in Mississippi and is headquartered in Birmingham, with $38.8 billion in assets and 600 banking offices in eight Southeastern states.
