Hotel manager Marjorie Williamson, of Herrislea House Hotel, David Thomson, director of Shetland Aerogenerators, and Magnus Shearer, director of fishing agents LHD, attended their first board meeting this week.

The scheme has also been welcomed by hotel manager Marjorie Williamson of Herrislea House, who said that the issue of recruitment had always been a difficulty.

"We are having to recruit new staff each year and that takes up a lot of time," she said.

Mr Rocks, Dr Wills and Marjorie Williamson, of Herrislea House Hotel, will meet officers from Shetland Islands Council's economic development next week to discuss their options.
