Specifically, Covering Michigan's Kids & Families has been working with the Detroit chapter of LVOA, through Executive Director Margaret Thorpe-Williamson.For more information on the Literacy Volunteers of America, visit http://www.literacyvolunteers.org/.

National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) is also partnering with the Covering Kids & Families national initiative.NAYS runs summer sports camps for low-income youth at more than 200 colleges/universities in 46 states. The sports camps reach approximately 70,000 low-income youth (ages 10-16) annually.A family's income must be at or below the federal poverty line to be eligible for participation in the camps. The organization provides immunizations and emergency coverage for participating children, however, the coverage lasts only as long as the term of the summer camp. Therefore, NAYS presents an opportunity to reach potentially eligible families with information about available child health care coverage programs.

Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is the largest nonprofit volunteer sports organization in the United States with over 500,000 participants and over 50,000 volunteers.
