The festivities are meant to celebrate diversity, at the same time "lifting up our unity," organizer Lynn Williamson said.She is pastor of First Presbyterian Church.
Activities for children will include leaf printing, bead stringing and face painting.
Also, the bluegrass band Kentucky Blue will perform, as will a Celtic group that is part of the Mink Run Consort.
There will also be salsa lessons, karate demonstrations, crafts and a lot of community organizations will set up booths, Williamson said.
The health checks will include procedures such as blood pressure measurements.
Also, there will be a soccer tournament starting at 8 a.m.
"Every year (the festival) gets bigger and bigger," Williamson said.
