"Our program benefits those with heart disease and those who want to lower their risk of heart disease," said Kathleen Williamson, MS, RNC, director of Cardiopulmonary Fitness and Rehabilitation at both Fuld and Mercer campuses at CHS."Because exercise and other healthy living habits are crucial in reducing the risk of heart disease, the Center's programs are focused on helping individuals change their lifestyle to reduce risk factors."
According to Ms. Williamson, modifiable risk factors include smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol level, inactivity, excess weight, diabetes and stress.Elements of the program include a personalized exercise program and education and counseling related to cardiac risk factor management.
"We offer various levels of care to accommodate the needs of each individual," said Ms. Williamson.
