CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Mr. Joseph Daniel "Danny" Williamson, 59, formerly of Cedar Bluff, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at a Charlottesville hospital following a brief illness.He was born in Cedar Bluff and was a son of Mr. Joseph C. Williamson of Cedar Bluff and the late Mrs. Nell Wilson Williamson.He was a 1961 graduate of Richlands High School and was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran.He had made his home in the Charlottesville area most of his life and was retired from the Department of the U.S. Army.In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Henry Williamson.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. --Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Daniel "Danny" Williamson will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with Rev. Rick Pruitt officiating.Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Friends and relatives will serve as pallbearers.Members of the Casey-Shortt VFW Post 9640 of Richlands and the Disabled American Veterans Tazewell County Chapter 31 will conduct military graveside rites.Friends may call at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands after 6 p.m. Monday.
