Don't worry if you can't visit a farm for June Dairy Month.In the Richmond area, the farm will come to you.
On June 17, 2006, the Southeastern United Dairy Industry Association (SUDIA) will bring suburban shoppers and dairy cows face to face from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Virginia Center Commons Mall in Glen Allen.Last year's event attracted more than 30,000 people over the course of the day, and Jim Williamson, SUDIA's assistant manager of industry relations, expects similar success this year.
"Richmond Dairy Day is a good time for Virginia families," he said.

"It's a lot of fun watching cows milked the old-fashioned way and seeing the expressions as the public pets the cows and calves," Williamson said.
