Jerome completed degrees in History (1984) and in Law (1986) at the University of Canterbury.Following his admission to the New Zealand Bar in 1987, Jerome worked at Lane Neave Ronaldson where he first met Paulo Kündig.
In September 1987, he left Lane Neave and spent most of the next nine years working for another Christchurch law firm, Corcoran French.During this time he had a break of six months (in 1989) which he spent travelling and working overseas.While at Corcoran French, Jerome undertook a wide range of legal work including conveyancing, commercial, employment and litigation work.
In 1996, Jerome moved to another Christchurch firm, Weston Ward & Lascelles, where he specialised in civil litigation and employment law, and was appointed Litigation Team Leader in 1999.
Jerome enthusiastically accepted an invitation to join Kündig Associates as an "immigration litigator" in October 2000.He brings with him a wealth of experience in general legal practice and, in particular, litigation and employment law.
Jerome has regularly appeared before the District Court and High Court of New Zealand during his career.He has also appeared before the Court of Appeal of New Zealand, the Employment Court and various Tribunals.
Jerome is able to effectively represent our clients' immigration-related interests before such Tribunals as the High Court, District Court, Deportation Review Tribunal, Removal Review Authority, Residence Review Board and the Refugee Status Appeals Authority.He is also able to provide advice and representation for our clients on a wide range of other, non-immigration related legal issues.
When he is not working, Jerome enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.He likes movies, reading, playing his guitar and playing masters soccer.
