APM08/06 Presentation by Mrs Jenny Williamson, Women's Institute and Marshlander As President of the local Women's Institute, Mrs Williamson spoke of the history of the national organisation.Regarding the local WI she stated there was a small membership who derived pleasure from the friendship, social and support of the group.However, new members were welcome, and would have 2 meetings to decide whether to subscribe as a member.As Treasurer of the Marshlander, Mrs Williamson gave details of the work carried out by the Editor, Sylvia Underwood and her committee, to achieve the Parish Magazine's monthly completion, printing and distribution to some 430 subscribers.
