BLOOMSBURY -- Harold O. Williamson, 84, died Tuesday (March 16, 2004) at Praxis Alzheimer's Facility in Easton, Pa.
He was born Feb. 2, 1920 in Queens, N.Y., and had resided in Piscataway for 22 years prior to moving to Bloomsbury in 1976.
Mr. Williamson was a photoengraver at the Art Color Printing Co. in Dunellen for 33 years until 1969.He thereafter worked at Cable Printing Co. in Mount Morris, Ill., for a year and later worked as a toll collector at the Woodbridge exchange of the New Jersey Turnpike for 12 years until retiring in 1982.
He was a life member of Middlesex Lodge no. 1488, B.P.O. Elks (formerly Dunellen Lodge); a life member of American Legion Post No. 119, Dunellen; served as a volunteer with NORWESCAP of Warren County; and he attended Dunellen High School.Harold enjoyed deep-sea fishing.He served as captain of a bowling team with the Art Color Bowling League.He also enjoyed golf, pool and traveling.He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was the husband of the late Irma E. Bentz Williamson, who died Jan. 14, 2004.
