Graham Williamson is a union side labour lawyer who represents public and private sector trade unions before administrative tribunals, arbitration boards and at the Ontario Labour Relations Board.Graham represents trade unions and employees in proceedings involving the acquisition and preservation of bargaining rights, unfair labour practice complaints, discipline and discharge, grievances arising under collective agreements, and applications for judicial review in the Ontario Superior Court.He provides assistance and advice to unions during difficult strikes, and has successfully appeared in defence of applications to enjoin lawful picketing.

Having a particular interest in workplace safety, Graham regularly represents trade unions and employees in Occupational Health and Safety proceedings to protect the right of workers to refuse unsafe work, and in the appeal of Ministry of Labour orders.Graham has extensive experience assisting injured workers and has appeared at all levels of appellate review within the Workplace Safety and Insurance appeals system.He also represents individuals in their pursuit of employment related benefits, including Canada Pension Plan and Employment Insurance benefits, as well as in respect of Employment Standards and Human Rights complaints.

KM Lawyers Involved in Complaint against the United States under the North American Free Trade Agreement

On April 23, 2008, the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers- Association Canadienne des Avocats du Mouvement Syndical (CALL-ACAMS), as well as numerous trade unions and labour organizations across Canada, the United States and Mexico, filed a significant Complaint against the United States under the North American Agreement for Labour Cooperation ("NAALC"), the labour side agreement to the North American Free Trade Agreement ("NAFTA").Graham Williamson, a partner in Koskie Minsky LLP's labour department, and Susan Philpott, a partner in Koskie Minsky LLP's pension department and a former president of CALL-ACAMS, were involved in the drafting and filing of the Complaint.
