"I think it's excellent," says Gail Williamson, a reading support teacher for the Catalina Foothills Unified School District.She also lives across the street from the fire station.

"In the time it's been up and running, there haven't been any big problems," she says."Occasionally we hear ambulances, but to me it's no different than them coming from the other stations."

Williamson says one of her neighbors recently needed medical service and paramedics got there faster than they would have before, because the fire station is so close.
