    Dennis Williamson has been named recipient of the 2004 Galbreath Award, while Association, and Convention and Trade Shows, Inc., will receive the business of the year award.

    The Galbreath Award is given to a citizen of the Hilliard area who has exemplified good citizenship and service to the community.

    According to chamber executive director Libby Gierach, Williamson has demonstrated a history of service to the Hilliard community.

    He is also a founding member of the Hilliard Civic Association, which was formed in 2001, and has served as president since its inception.He chaired the organizing committee of the Old Hilliard Street Fair since 2000.

    Williamson and his wife Connie have been married for 20 years and have two children, Randy, a sophomore at Hilliard Darby High School, and Amelia, a seventh-grader at Hilliard Heritage Middle School.

    Williamson receives association's thanks

    On behalf of the Hilliard Civic Association, I would like to congratulate Dennis Williamson as recipient of this year's Galbreath Award, presented annually by the Hilliard Area Chamber of Commerce for good citizenship and service to the community.

    As a founding member and president of the Hilliard Civic Association, Dennis has helped to take the ailing Old Hilliard Day and turn it into the Hilliard Street Fair, which combines each September with the Hilliard Arts Festival to bring thousands of people to the streets of Old Hilliard.We all thank Dennis for his hard work and dedication.
