Mr. Della McGhee Williamson

born in Vance County, NC to the late Robert Lee and Della McGhee Williamson.While in the Army during World War II, he served his country in the Pacific arena.Before moving to Knoxville, he was employed by Colonial Food Stores in Durham and Henderson, N.C. For 30 years, he worked for Rice Oldsmobile and became its general sales manager.Mr. Williamson was a very creative person who loved beauty in his environment, as was evidenced by his beautiful home landscaping, his bountiful vegetable garden, his gourmet cooking, his carpentry, his building of clocks, and his restoration of antique clocks and furniture.Above all, he loved and cherished his home and family.
