Cindy Williamson Joins Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center Development Office

Cindy Williamson has joined the Development Office at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center as the development director for the Northshore/Florida Parishes. She earned her bachelor's degree in economics and political science at the American University in Washington, D.C. and a master's in business administration from Tulane University. Williamson has been active in the Northshore community with many organizations for the past 20 years, including having worked at St. Scholastica Academy in Covington, LA as public relations/marketing director.

Cindy Williamson, development director, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Northshore/Florida Parishes, and her family were among the race volunteers for the day. "The entire event was just extraordinary," said Williamson. "To see people come together to have a positive impact on the community, to help make it possible to support organizations truly making a difference -- like fighting cancer , was so uplifting."

Regarding the awards presented to the overall and masters individual winners, Williamson said, "The unique awards reflected the entire spirit of the event.
