MULLINS ( -- ) Services for Calbra Ellen Williamson , 76 , will be held at 11 a.m. today , March 2 , 2001 at Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist church , with the Rev. William C. Jacobs and the Rev. Paul Alford officiating.Burial will follow in Florence National Cemetery , directed by Cox- Collins Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers , memorials may be made to the Calbra E. Williamson Fund , c/o Cox-Collins Funeral Home , P.O. Box 613 , Mullins , SC 29574.
Mr. Williamson died Wednesday , February 28 , 2001 in Marion Nursing Center after an illness.Born in Marion County , May 17 , 1924 , he was a son of the late David and Eva Jones Williamson.Mr. Williamson retired form Schoolfield Industries.He was a U.S. Army veteran , having served in World War II.Mr. Williamson was a member of VFW Post # 6122 and a member of Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife , Mary Poston Williamson , Mullins ; sons , Jimmy L. Williamson , Mullins , Calbra Lavern Williamson , Simpsonville ; daughter , Linda Gail Williamson , Mullins ; daughters-in-law , Mae Williamson , Mullins , Cathy Williamson , Taylors ; brothers , Carlisle Williamson , Florence , Hiawatha Williamson , Sumter , Otto Williamson , Santee , Calif. ; four sisters-in-law ; nine grandchildren ; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.Mr. Williamson was predeceased by a brother , Clio Williamson.
