"We will be setting it up in the test lab where we have a replica of our production environment to see how the resource domains fold into a real Windows 2000 environment," said Brad Williamson, a senior network analyst at UOP.

DM/Administrator is available in two versions: the Upgrade in Place Kit lets administrators restructure NT domains into consolidated Active Directory hierarchies, and the Incremental Migration Kit lets administrators gradually migrate to Active Directory while maintaining NT domains.

The package, part of a Windows 2000 management tools suite, will cost $29,000 for 1,000 users.
