Bonnie Williamson

Bonnie has been working in the counselling field since 1994.She has maintained a private counselling practice since 2001 where she provides counselling services to individuals, children, couples and families.Bonnie has a Bachelor of arts degree in Psychology from Athabasca University and a Masters of Arts degree in Mental Health Counselling from City University.

Bonnie works from a collaborative perspective focusing on safety, confidentiality and respect.She draws from solution-focused and narrative therapies as well as feminist ideas of connection, belonging and social context.All of her work revolves around ideas of personal agency recognizing we are already in the process of making change.She aims to facilitate conversations and stories reflecting strength and personal agency.

Bonnie is experienced in the areas of relationship, personal growth, loss and grief, anxiety and depression, separation and divorce, parenting, blended families, body image and problems of eating, violence and abuse, and models of change for addictive behaviour.
