EDMOND – Stan Tatum, CEO for Edmond Medical Center has announced that Bob Williamson has been selected as director of Specialty Services for the hospital.

In this position, Williamson will oversee the functions of the Intensive Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit and Cath Lab.

Williamson was most recently the manager of the Intensive Care Unit at Mercy Health Center.Prior to that he served as Chief Nursing Officer at Perry Memorial Hospital for two years and worked as a trauma nurse for six years at University Hospital."I'm very pleased to be getting settled in my community hospital where I can help provide care to my Edmond neighbors," says Williamson.

A graduate of Oklahoma State University at Oklahoma City, Williamson also completed an organizational leadership program at Southern Nazarene University.He serves as a governor's appointee to the Oklahoma Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council.

Williamson is the father of two children and has lived in Edmond for eight years.
