The SAIC CIST is able to help an enterprise prepare a product and compile supporting information for a Common Criteria evaluation, and then our CCTL can perform the actual evaluation, said Bob Williamson, manager of the SAIC CCTL.SAIC's CCTL is excited about performing a higher assurance evaluation of a product that enforces a security policy through hardware only and yet provides a cost effective practical security solution to government and commercial network configuration requirements. This task is expected completion by June 2000.

"SAIC is pleased to add Marimba's Client Management and Server Management product lines to the list of Common Criteria products evaluated by the SAIC CCTL at the EAL Level 3 for Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408) Standard for IT Security Evaluation," said Robert Williamson, SAIC CCTL Director.

SAIC's CCTL has completed five Common Criteria evaluations and is working on eight others for several products, including operating systems, malicious mobile code detection and response systems, certificate management systems, firewalls, antivirus and content security, disk encryption, and network access control systems.The SAIC CCTL is actively working with several IT vendors to prepare for a Common Criteria evaluation to include the development of Common Criteria evidence, security targets, and evaluation acceptance packages.
