The brouhaha began this week, when a protest organized by area activists and spearheaded by Metropolitan State College student Zoe Williams came to the attention of local media.
The bar's name, the group said, refers to Mexican brothels, and the names of some of the menu items either denigrated women or Hispanics or referred to violent sex acts against women.
This week, Berman said, he has changed the names of the offending menu items, including the Donkey Punch burger and "Ho-made fries," now called "Homemade fries," although he still maintains that the names weren't meant to offend.
A Donkey Punch has been described as a man smacking a woman during sex.
He has posted a new list of dishes near the establishment's front door at 1109 Lincoln St. and included an apology to anyone who was offended by the names of any of the dishes, he said.

Protesters are slated to turn out tonight at 10 p.m. Protest organizer Williams did not return calls for comment Friday.In an e-mail to the News, she confirmed that the protest is on schedule.
