Zeophus Williams takes reins of Cook County Bar June 19
Chicago attorney Zeophus J. Williams, vice chair of the ISBA Committee on Professional Conduct, will be installed Thursday, June 19, as the 62nd president of the Cook County Bar Association.
Her theme for the year is "Rising to new Heights and Focusing on our Youth: Education and the Juvenile Justice System."
Williams, who is past chair of the Committee on Law-Related Education for the Public, will take office during the annual banquet in the Hyatt Hotel on Chicago's Riverwalk.
Deputy supervisor of the county state's attorney's Public Interest Bureau Child Support Enforcement Division, she also represents the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services in related matters.
A past co-chair of the Alliance of Bar Association for Judicial Screening, Williams represents the Black Women Lawyers Association on the Alliance executive committee.
