Valerie Williams, a student at Grand Island Senior High School, plans on attending Creighton University to pursue a pharmacy degree.She has received many honors in orchestra, including being a member of the Grand Island Senior High String Quartet.Valerie is also involved with the Art Club, tennis, and qualified for the Nebraska State Activities Association's State Journalism Contest, where she placed third in news writing.She co-edits the school's newspaper.During her high school career, Valerie has received honors in mathematics, science and chemistry.Her civic and church activities include being involved in anti-tobacco projects, Youth Leadership Tomorrow, Tri-City Area Youth Symphony and Hastings Symphony, church music groups, National Catholic Youth Conference and volunteers at Saint Francis Medical Center.Her recent employment has been an assistant teacher for KDL Childcare.
