Huntington Beach, Calif., designer Tommy Williams, who specializes in Christmas designs, enhanced the spirit of the season through florals and holiday accents.
To start, he brought in boxes of ribbon, artificial greenery and ornaments. He then opened the French doors off the dining room and stepped into the garden for inspiration.
For colors of the season, he picked a basket of limes and cut handfuls of stephanotis, a fragrant, white, star-shaped flower.
"Stephanotis is a traditional wedding flower, but I use it a lot at Christmastime," Williams said.
He placed the stephanotis, along with fresh, white roses and artificial pomegranates, in the centerpiece, the focal point of the table. The limes from the garden were arranged on a two-tiered silver dessert tray as an accent.
Williams added touches of greenery on the light fixture and draped strands of garland around the doorways. He mixed fresh pepper berry, rosemary and magnolia with artificial greenery."You still get a fragrance, but it holds up longer," he said.
"With a heavy artificial garland and good wire ribbon, you can do anything," he said.
