    AVID WILLIAMS - VOICE

    AVID WILLIAMS is a graduate of the Boys Choir of Harlem, a recipient of a fellowship to study at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Queens College Aaron Copland School of Music.He attended the Goethe Institute of Berlin in Germany and is completing a Master of Music degree at Brooklyn College.Avid has also performed major roles in La Boheme, La Traviata, Nozze di Figaro (to name just three), with the Bronx Opera, the Regina Opera Company, and the New York Philharmonic.Mr. Williams was also the featured soloist of the annual World Aids Day sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.He has also served as conductor of the Queens College Chorus, produced the Annual Celebration of Black American Composers, served for over five years as vocal coach/piano accompanist for the NAACP ACT-SO National Competition, and is an active member of the Schomburg Library Corporation.
