Miss Ashley Williams

Ashley Williams, 1997 graduate of Lincoln High School has been selected to the American International Sports Tours (AIST) volleyball team.Teams are hand selected by coaches from across the country.This year's team will represent the United States this summer in an international tournament on the island of Aruba.Miss Williams is a senior at the University of the District of Columbia, majoring in biology pre-med.While at Lincoln High School she was a member of the Maurine Bailey Concert Choir along with the Lady Tigers basketball, volleyball and track teams.In addition to her sports endeavors, Williams has traveled abroad, with the Crossroads to Africa program to work as a midwife assistant in the village of Morso in Ghana, West Africa.Miss Williams, a member of St. Luke "Community" United Methodist Church, is the daughter of Mrs. Marian Williams.
