    In other news, Shadyside Board of Public Affairs President Chuck Wiley said the public needs to be aware of calls being made to test residents water are not coming from the village's water department.

    According to Wiley, the callers want to come to the homes after the water department has finished working.Wiley said he believes the calls are coming from a water treatment vendor who wants to sell residents a purification system.

    According to Trustee Chuck Wiley, work crews will be conducting the tests on Sept. 5, 6, 7 and 10 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. as part of the village's infrastructure improvement plans.

    The purpose of the testing is to detect breaks and defects in the sewer system.

    Wiley also said that it is unlikely smoke will enter anyone's home, unless they have a defect in their plumbing or if drain traps are dried-up.
