  Mr. Wilder reported that he feels that one reason there is so little usage after hours is because people are unaware of the additional hours.He advised that he tells people of the additional hours and then reminds them again.He feels that we need to get this information out to the public, while we have the ability to be open at night.Mr. Wilder suggested maybe an article in Luminaries.

  Mr. Wilder stated that he had been looking over the numbers for the evening hours and while they are still low, what he is seeing from the number is that pro se people are using the Law Library in the evenings, which is serving the function that the Trustees were hoping to see it serve.He did reiterate that we need to get the word out to the public about the extended evening hours.Mr. Wilder says that he realizes that the evening hours may become a budgetary issue, ut we don need to be aware that the additional hours are serving their purpose.

  Discussion was had concerning speakers for the Law Library. Mr. Wilder reported that a speaker is scheduled at the Council of Social Agencies general meeting on Wednesday, May 16 th at the COSA general meeting, which is at 8:00 a.m. at the Health Department on Milner Road . This would be approximately a fifteen minute presentation. Mr. Wilder asked that someone who has a lot more experience than he give the presentation.

  Mr. Wilder stated that he felt taking his fiduciary responsibility into consideration, he feels that the SmartBoard is an extremely useful tool that has potential to grow with the Library and the technology.He feels that it is a worthwhile investment in every sense of the word and that he knows that the Friends of the Public Library help to fund just such things that the Public Library cannot fund completely in and of themselves and was wondering if the Friends of the Law Library could help fund something like this.
