    Mayor Brescia went on to say, "on behalf of the Village Board, it gives me great pleasure to present to you and Mary this plaque which reads -Village of Montgomery presents to William J. and Mary A. Devitt its appreciation for their generous donation.This gift has made it possible for the acquisition and preservation of significant and historic Village of Montgomery pictures which will be enjoyed for many generations to come.Your benevolence will long be remembered in the hearts and minds of the Villagers".

    Marion Wild, Village Historian, stated "It is no more than right for the Village Historian to accept the beautiful pictures which mean a lot to the Village.We hope to have each picture copied The copies will be on display.In an effort to preserve the original pictures, they will not be available for anyone to handle." Mayor Brescia thanked Marion Wild, Village Historian, Joan Buck Smith, Pres. of the H.M.A. and F. Edward Devitt for making the Village aware of the steropgraphs and steroscope.
