Kent Goes Wild LogoKent Goes Wild!
is an event created by the Kent & Medway Biological Records Centre as a platform on which to get local recording groups and organisations together for a weekend celebrating recording. The event is designed to reach new audiences; so far we have travelled around Kent to different locations.
After previous events at Leeds Castle and Shorne Wood Country Park, in 2007 the event will be held at Reculver Country Park on Saturday and Sunday the 23rd and 24th June.
For those people who already record it is an annual event for networking, meeting people and organisations to generate ideas for group projects. And for those with no previous knowledge of recording it's a chance to see in one place the wealth of active recording groups Kent has, and talk to experienced recorders about how you can get involved, or contribute to Kent's database of records.
It is also a means for people to find out about recording projects which have been undertaken in Kent and how recording wildlife improves local knowledge about species and habitat distributions.
