    Kate Wild is a theatre and documentary director and a 2004 graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).She has worked as a director, producer, researcher and presenter for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, SBS TV and the Discovery Channel on more than twenty documentaries and programs including Four Corners, Australian Story and the Chasers' CNNNN.She has been an online columnist and on air presenter for youth radio station Triple J, and in 2003 was a member of the creative team who developed Escape from Woomera; a computer game about life inside Australia's Immigration Detention Centres.EFW received $25,000 from the Australia Council's New Media Development Fund in March 2003. www.escapefromwoomera.org Kate's attention turned to theatre in 2002 when she volunteered on an Australian Theatre for Young People's outreach program in Walgett.In 2003 she applied to study directing at the National Institute for Dramatic Art and was one of six students selected for the class of 2004.
