Mr. Choke is the creation of Josh Wild, a Grade 6 student at Pacific Christian School.He's also the grand-prize winner for his age group in a province-wide poster contest to create an anti-tobacco superhero.
Wild won an iPod nano in addition to getting his drawing published on a 2006/07 school calendar.
"It's from an upward glance," said Josh of his drawing."The guy's choking the cigarettes."
Prize-worthy creativity appears to run in the family, as Josh's seven-year-old sister Jenna also received honourable mention in the kindergarten-to-Grade 3 category.She received a $50 gift certificate to Future Shop for her piece, No Tow Backhoe.

"It was pretty cool," said Josh.
"It was sort of surprising because after school Josh came to say he was really happy, because he heard that he had won," said Jenna of learning about her win.
