With 38 years in education, 35 at Pine Tree, IPC teacher, Troy White, is retiring to work for Analab Company this fall.Britni JohnsonStaff writer "I started teaching in 1964," White said, "and changes have been very dramatic over the years.The attitudes of students have changed a lot too." White said he wanted to teach becaue he enjoyed spending the summer and holiday time with his family.He has a master's degree in chemistry and math.His degrees are from East Texas State University and Texas A&M at Commerce."I enjoy teaching chemistry because it is exciting and challenging," he said."A lot of my former students now teach at Pine Tree, and others are doctors, lawyers and judges among other professions."In his spare time White enjoys camping, fishing and playing golf, he said.**********************************************************************
