Simon J. White

Landscape Architect and Environmental Planner, Simon White joins Babtie from RPS where he was the Senior Associate in the Huddersfield office involved in both project management and design of landscape and urban design and implementation of a variety of projects.His particular specialism has been his role in leading environmental impact assessment for various highways and land use planning.

Simon, who is based in Babtie's Manchester office, but also covers Wakefield and other offices in the region, is particularly experienced in public sector projects having worked on behalf of Sheffield Development Corporation, Zeneca, Stockton Borough Council, East Riding of Yorkshire and the Highways Agency as well as a number of other local authorities.He is an Associate of the Landscape Institute.In his role with Babtie he will be responsible for leading the Landscape Architecture business in the north of England, coordinating EIA and SEA projects out of the Sale office as well as the EIA input for Highways schemes in the North.He will further be assisting Jon Smithson, his immediate DVD in Environmental Management in coordinating and expanding the Environmental business in the Northern Region.

Simon has also more recently further developed his Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment and EIA skills by presenting various Expert Witness Evidence at Public Inquiries.This is an area of his expertise, which he is keen to develop further.
