Mr. White was a graduate of Olean High School and had served as a sergeant with the US Army from 1951 until 1955. He worked for Dresser Rand for over forty years, first as a field representative which took him to many places in the world and later as a test supervisor. He retired in 1996.
He was a member of the Allegany American Legion Charles Harbel Post 892 where he served many years on its honor guard. He also belonged to the Olean Masonic Lodge 252 F & AM, the Masonic Bodies in Jamestown, and was a member of the NRA.
Mr. White was a patriot, dedicated to his country, loved history, especially the Civil War and will be greatly missed by his family. -
