Mr. James C. White Mr. White initially joined Cherokee in November 2000 as the Richmond District Manager. He is now performing as The Director, Human Capital Management where he plans and directs the administration of all human resource activities and policies. Duties include recruiting, staffing, employment, compensation, benefits, affirmative action, employee relations, health, safety, and training, Supervises a human resources staff and implements policies and programs to meet organizational needs by providing guidance and administrative assistance to other directorates and executive management areas.

Mr. White received a BA from Louisiana State University and a MA from Webster University. He attended professional manpower, personnel, and personnel administration courses in preparation for selection to senior AF and DoD personnel assignments. Mr White was commissioned as a 2Lt in the US Air Force in 1973 and completed flight school in 1974.

Mr. White's 30-year AF career includes aviation, safety, and personnel assignments. His aviation tours included Vandenberg AFB where he was a pilot IP/FE. At FE Warren AFB he was both a pilot and the Chief of Safety. At Scott AFB, IL, Mr. White was the command's Chief of Helicopter Safety. He later moved into the personnel arena where he served as the OIC of the Air Force Military Personnel Center's Classification and Training unit. After his initial tour in personnel, he was asked to return to the Military Airlift Command as the Deputy for Senior Officer Matters and later as the Director of Retention and Promotion Divisions. He was the Mission Support Commander and Chief of Personnel for the 13th AF (Philippines), the first Director of Military Personnel at the Defense Commissary Agency, and the Staff Director for Military Personnel at the Defense Logistics Agency. He retired from the AF in 1997.

Upon retirement from the AF, Mr. White held a variety of positions that included duty as a Counselor for the Army Career and Alumni Program at Fort Lee, VA; the Program Manager for Health & Allied Services, Systems Assessment and Research, Inc. (SAR), Lanham, MD; the Richmond District Manager for Cherokee; a Senior Consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and IBM, Fairfax, VA; as Human Capital Manager (HCM) for the IBM Project in support of the Customs and Border Protection Agency in Northern VA; as the Change Manager for IBM's Project in support of the Defense Logistics Agency, West Chester, PA; and as a Senior Business Development Manager for Cherokee in Arlington, VA.
