As Senior Vice President of Training for the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching (NIET), J. Todd White provides assistance to TAP personnel and staff at more than 180 TAP schools across the country.Dr. White began his career with TAP as the executive director in South Carolina.In 2004 he was promoted to regional director, working with schools and executive directors in multiple states, developing and delivering training workshops, and conducting program reviews.
Prior to these roles, Dr. White spent five years as an elementary school teacher before moving into administration.He has been named First Union Administrator of the Year, South Carolina PTA Principal of the Year, a National Distinguished Principal, and a Furman University Outstanding Young Alumnus.In 2000 he received the Milken Educator Award.
Dr. White received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, and earned his Ph.D. in K-12 education with an emphasis in leadership from Capella University in Minneapolis.
