    J. Bennett White, PE, obtained a bachelor of civil engineering degree and a certificate in business and technical communication from Georgia Tech in 1983.He worked for six years as a structural designer for a precast concrete manufacturer before joining a local architecture/engineering firm in 1989.White joined Fulton County in 1998 as an engineer to handle plan reviews on land disturbance permit applications, focusing primarily on drainage, hydrology and flood plain aspects of the review process.While at Fulton County, he was part of a team that successfully reduced the turnaround time for reviews from more than two months down to two weeks.

    In 2000, he left Fulton County to return to the consulting business as a project manager responsible for managing the development of the civil design on multimillion dollar civil projects for architects, owners, developers and institutions.He continued to develop his design and management skills, obtaining LEED Accredited Professional Certification.
