Inez White now owns 51 percent, and Dave White, who formerly was CEO, owns 49 percent.

That was 1976, the year he started college and the year his parents started the business.After graduating from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in engineering and serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a pilot, David White joined his parents at the company in 1992.
Now, with years of perspective, he can appreciate his parents' dedication to their fledgling business.As things got rolling, David White said his father went back to school to earn an MBA and his mother took business courses.
"They are an amazing couple," he said."I'm very proud of my parents."

In the beginning, Dave White called on industrial clients to sell Kyana Packaging products three days a week and spent two days making deliveries, Inez said.

"I think most people who start their own business are a little bit crazy, or they wouldn't do it," Dave White said.

"My wife and I were very lucky because we can work together very well," Dave White said.

Dave and Inez White still are very much involved in the company, but they may retire in the next year or two, Inez White said.
