Brook was born in London in 1978, and grew up in Bath.
He studied at Beechen Cliff School, and went on to Bournemouth University to study Environmental Science.
In 2000, Brook moved to London where he first got involved in the Conservative Party.During the 2001 general election campaign, he helped out in several closely fought seats across the south of the country.
Whilst in London, Brook worked as a floor manager at Marks & Spencer.He also worked briefly for Bank of Ireland before moving back to Bath in November 2002.
2003 was a big year for Brook where he stood for elected office for the first time.Pitted against two high-profile Lib Dems in the Widcombe ward, he ran an energetic campaign, and was less than 140 votes away from victory on polling day.
After this defeat, Brook decided to hang around and continue to help Widcombe residents, with a view to achieving victory in the 2007 local elections.
On 3rd May 2007, Brook got elected onto Bath & NE Somerset Council, and he sits on the Enterprise and Economic Development Overview & Scrutiny Committee.
Brook also works part-time for Capita, the business process outsourcing firm, and is a school governor at Hayesfield Technology College.
