Ms. Nicole Wesley

Nicole Wesley is a teacher, performer, and choreographer out of Austin, Texas.She received her MFA from Texas Woman's University and her BFA in Dance from The University of Texas at Austin.Most recently, Nicole completed her certification as a Laban Movement Analyst (CLMA) from the University of Utah in August 2006.Nicole has performed and choreographed throughout the United States and abroad in Indonesia, Germany and Japan.Since arriving in Atlanta in 2003, Nicole has performed with Lori Teague and Zoetic Dance Ensemble and has just formed 21greenlight, a DUET company, with Atlanta artist Candess Giyan.

Zoetic Dance Ensemble presents SHIFT, a contemporary dance concert featuring new work by four choreographers, including Spelman College Dance Professor Nicole Wesley.

Nicole Wesley is a performer, teacher and choreographer out of Austin, Texas.She holds an MFA in Dance from Texas Woman's University in Denton and a BFA in Dance from The University of Texas at Austin.Nicole has been a company member of the Austin-based Johnson/Long Dance Company since 1996 and has been a performer and choreographer with Austin's REALMdanceproject since 1999.She is a Co-Artistic Director for Rendezvous DanceWorks and premiered her latest work, She Comes in Colors, at the Pawleys Island Youth Arts Celebration in South Carolina in May 2004.Ms. Wesley's choreography has been commissioned by Texas Woman's University, Texas State University and Stephen F. Austin State University and her choreographic works have been presented at performance venues such as The Dallas Morning News Dance Festival, The American College Dance Festival, Dance for the Planet, The Fringe Festival/Austin and the Denton Arts and Jazz Festival.This February, Ms. Wesley toured with the Johnson/Long Dance Company's I Stuck My Head in the Garden to Hamburg, Germany.Currently, Ms. Wesley is Adjunct Faculty in Dance at Austin Community College in Austin.She will assume a new position as Assistant Professor in Dance at Spelman College in Atlanta in the fall of 2004.
