Mrs. Felix Wells

Mrs. Wells was born March 17, 1917, in Hope, Ark.She died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002.Mrs. Wells was a 1935 graduate of Hope High School and of the nursing school at the Baptist State College in Little Rock, Ark.She had worked at Leake Clinic and Mosier Hospital as a licensed nurse for several years.

In 1965, Mrs. Wells and her husband, Felix Wells, opened Flowers by Rose in Gladewater.They operated the store for many years.

Mrs. Wells had been an active member of the Gladewater First Baptist Church and of the Fidelis Sunday School Class.She had also been a member of the PTA, having organized it under the auspices of Superintendent Dana Williams, Gladewater Chamber of Commerce, AARP, the Keep in Touch group, Gladewater Daleth Club, Eastern Star No. 85 and the Gladewater Garden Club,

Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her parents, James Oscar and Rosa Lee England; her husband, Felix Wells; and a daughter, Carolyn Wells.
