Joel S. Welber recently joined Pear Sperling Eggan & Daniels as of counsel.Mr. Welber is well known in Michigan as an advocate for people with disabilities and their families.Mr. Welber specializes in estate planning for families with children who are mentally or physically disabled.Mr. Welber is a consultant to ARC of Michigan, NAMI (an advocacy group for people with disabilities) and ACA.Mr. Welber just recently retired from Eastern Michigan University where he was an Associate Professor for 21 years.

Joel Welber received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his law degree from Wayne State University in Detroit.

Joel Welber formed the Palmer Development Group in 1996 to focus its development energy in the Art Center community.Since its formation, PDG has developed and renovated three apartment buildings, totaling 40 new apartment-style housing units in the Art Center.Joel is an attorney with a law practice in Ann Arbor.He is also a faculty member in Eastern Michigan Universityís Business School, where he teaches Real Estate Development Principles and Business Law with the graduate and undergraduate programs.
