Lourdes M. Weisgerber, RN, BSN, CLNC, is the Founder and President of Discovery Medical Legal Consulting, a firm dedicated to serving the legal system, insurance companies, and the medical community in general.Mrs. Weisgerber received her certification from the Medical-Legal Institute Inc., Houston, Texas and is a member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants and the Baltimore Chapter of Legal Nurse Consultants.She continues to remain active in clinical practice, and holds current licenses in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Lourdes M. Weisgerber has over 20 years of combined professional experience.Her diverse experience incorporates nursing practice, clinical trials and laboratory research.She served in the US ARMY Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, Fort Detrick, MD, as a Bioscience Research Assistant.She acquired her Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and has developed skills in critical care areas such as Trauma Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Emergency Care, and hospital based nursing, including Medical-Surgical and Labor and Delivery.
During her nursing career, she has contributed to numerous quality assurance committees and served as the staff educator and coordinator for the standards of care in compliance to the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.Mrs. Weisgerber is fluent in both English and Spanish, which grants her a selective advantage in multicultural interactions and broadens the spectrum of clients she is able to effectively work with.
