It recently signed a contract for the property pending City Council's approval of a zoning change to planned development, said Jordan Weidner, the Colliers Turley Martin Tucker broker working with Rolling Hills on securing the property.
Rolling Hills principal Bimal Patel , a native Northern Kentuckian who previously worked for Blue Ash-based Winegardner & Hammons Inc., which operates the Cincinnati Marriott Northeast and Lexington-based Home-Towne Suites , would share few details of the pending deal.Patel founded Rolling Hills in 2005; the firm owns and manages a LaQuinta Inn & Suites in Florence and Red Roof Inn in Lexington.A Homewood Suites is under construction near the airport, a Holiday Inn Express planned for Richwood and a yet-to-be-named hotel under development at the Dayton airport.
"The overall access, visibility and location to the core companies in town was a home run for him," Weidner said.
