A member of the Purple Aces' swim team for two seasons and a cheerleader for her final two years at UE, Jayma Wehr returns to the University of Evansville this season as an assistant for new head coach Rickey Perkins.Wehr assists with all areas of the UE swimming & diving program, including coaching at practice and meets, recruiting, and administration.

A native of Jasper, Indiana, Wehr led the Wildcats to two sectional championships.She was the Outstanding Senior and the team's Mental Attitude Award winner as a senior, and competed in the 100-yard butterfly at the 1998 state championships.

At Evansville, Jayma had an outstanding career.She finished 10th in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke, and was 12th in the 200 butterfly in the Missouri Valley Conference Swimming & Diving Championships.She graduated with degrees in Exercise Science and Sports Management.
