    Jamie Wehr began studying the piano at the age of ten and upon enrollment in junior high school he began playing the trombone. He continued his studies with Roy Pickering at the University of Central Florida where he received the B.A. degree, with Betty Glover at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati where he received the Master of Music Degree, and with M. Dee Stewart and Edwin Anderson for two years at the Indiana University School of Music. During his college years he also pursued studies in band and orchestral conducting along with composition under Dr. Burt Szabo and Dr. Scot Huston. Upon leaving Indiana University, Mr. Wehr became a member of the Teatr Wielki Orchestra, the National Opera House in Warsaw, Poland. After returning to the USA, he joined the Air Force Band of Liberty as its bass trombonist. It was during his enlistment that he founded WEHR'S MUSIC HOUSE in 1991. His separation from the military led him to return to Central Florida, where he has pursued a musical career as composer, performer and publisher. He held the position of bass trombonist with the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and has performed with such ensembles as the Florida West Coast Symphony, the Space Coast Symphony, the Florida Orchestra and the Orlando Philharmonic. From 1994 to 2001 he founded, organized and wrote for Prima Toni - The Orlando Trombone Choir which was made up of the area's finest free-lance trombonists. In the Fall of 2001 Mr. Wehr accepted the position of adjunct professor of Midi-Technology and Low Brass at Seminole Community College in Sanford Florida.
