Dr. Demaris Wehr

Dr. Demaris Wehr will talk about Survivors of Genocide at the library on Tuesday evening at 7 pm. During the summers from 2000 through 2002 she worked in Bosnia with the Karuna Center for Peacebuilding. In 2004 she interviewed survivors to learn how they made it through the trauma and to understand the lessons we might learn. She is writing a book about what she discovered. Demaris is a psychotherapist in private practice on the Vineyard. She is the author of "Jung and Feminism: Liberating Archetypes."

Demaris Wehr is a practicing psychotherapist, a peace building associate at the Karuna Center, and Adjunct Faculty at Andover Newton Theological School.She combines individual psychological work with peace building, and has traveled to Bosnia to help facilitate dialogues between communities.Dr. Wehr has been active in academic and activists circles for 25 years.

Demaris Wehr, Ph.D. has worked as a professor of religion at Boston University, the Women's Theological Center, and the Episcopal Divinity School in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Wehr works as a psychotherapist in a private practice. She is the author of many books and articles including Jung and Feminism: Liberating Archetypes.
