   John Wegh, Funeral Director John Wegh was born and raised in Dickinson, ND. His dad had his own plumbing business and his mother was an RN for the local hospital. He has two brothers and four sisters. After high school he served in the US Army in Air Defense Artillery and was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. John was honorably discharged and attended Dickinson State University for his generals while he served in the National Guard as a sergeant working with heavy equipment. He married his college sweetheart in 1989 before attending Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago. John graduated in 1990 and served his apprenticeship at Mischel-Olson Chapel in Dickinson, ND. He received his ND funeral director license in 1991and was employed there a total of 13 years; serving as location manager from 1993 until 2000. John has two children, Shannon is 12 and daughter, Jessica is 7. John began work at Miller Funeral Home in Sioux Falls, SD in July of 2000. He is also a federal volunteer for the Region VII DMORT (Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team), which assists communities with mass fatalities. As a part of DMORT, John was called to New York City following the events of September 11, 2001. When he is not at work, he loves to spend time with his family and keeping up with the yard. John also follows hockey and football and enjoys watching his kids grow.

   John Wegh is a licensed funeral director at Miller Funeral Home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In 1996 he began serving as a federal volunteer in Region VII DMORT (Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team), which assists communities with mass fatalities. It was in this role that he worked at New York City's Ground Zero in the receiving morgue and the Chief Medical Examiner's office. John has been an instructor of DMORT Family Assistance Center procedures for North Dakota Emergency Management Courses. Previously, he served in the Army in Air Defense Artillery and served in the National Guard.
