He is also a federal volunteer for the Region VII DMORT (Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team), which assists communities with mass fatalities. As a part of DMORT, John was called to New York City following the events of September 11, 2001. When he is not at work, he loves to spend time with his family and keeping up with the yard.
