Tara Webb

A camera, operated by video artist Tara Webb, follows his every sweaty gesture, every pout, every outburst, and displays them on an enormous screen onstage.

This core group works frequently with a host of collaborating artists including lighting designers Jason Boyd and Tyler Micoleau; sound designers Jim Dawson and Jamie McElhinney; director and filmmaker DJ Mendel ; choreographers Diane Madden, Annie B Parson , and Jordana Che Toback ; costume designer Tara Webb; production coordinator Anthony Cerrato; and performers and musicians including Steve Ciuffo, Curtis Hasselbring, Ben Holmes, John Hopkins, Sam Kulik, Jony Perez, Scott Sheperd, James Sugg, and Gary Wilmes.

Accidental Nostalgia was written and composed by Cynthia Hopkins, and created in collaboration with: co-designers Jim Findlay and Jeff Sugg; choreographer Jordana Che Toback; directors Vanessa Gilbert and DJ Mendel ; costume designers Kristen Lapham and Tara Webb; stage manager Susan Oetgen ; performers Lisa Hickman, John Hopkins, Scott Shepherd, Gary Wilmes, and Maria Ventura ; musicians Laura Cromwell , Matt Everett, Curtis Hasselbring , John Mettam , Pam Murray, Joel Thibodeau , Shawn Wallace, and Margie Wienk ; and the band Gloria Deluxe ( Kristin Mueller , Josh Stark, Philippa Thompson, and Karen Waltuch).

Tara Webb (Video Designer): Tara is a freelance theatre artist. From 1998-2004, Tara worked on both video and costume for the Wooster Group's productions of House/Lights, North Atlantic, Hairy Ape, To You The Birdie! and the restaging of Brace Up! (2003). Tara mostly designs costumes and has collaborated on Cynthia Hopkins' Accidental Nostalgia, Koosilja Hwang's Deadman Dancing, Trey Lyford and Geoff Sobelle's all wear bowlers as well as many other individual projects.

As Sobelle and Lyford are stuck on the live stage in their bowler hats and frayed cuff suits (Tara Webb, costume designer), the audience is stuck with them.

Written and directed by Lisa D'Amour and performed by Todd D'Amour with video by Tara Webb, this production will play as part of HERE's 2006-2007 season, which features six new multi-disciplinary shows, two festivals and the completion of its renovations, scheduled for winter 2007.

Tara has worked closely with the Collapsable Giraffe since 1999 and recently performed in their production of Letters from the Earth. Tara is currently a graduate student in NYU's Visual Culture program.
